The Editorial Board of the International Seminar on Syariah and Law (INSLA) is pleased to present Volume 5, Number 1 (2022), continuing our mission to provide a reputable platform for high-quality scholarship in Syariah and legal studies. Building upon the critical discourses established in our 2020 and 2021 volumes, this issue reflects a continued engagement with the evolving legal landscape as we navigate the complexities of a changing global society. This latest installment from the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), remains a steadfast platform for exploring contemporary debates, doctrinal developments, and applied legal issues relevant to both Islamic and civil legal systems. Now available online through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) to enhance global visibility, INSLA E-Proceedings continues to grow in reach and impact, showcasing contributions from diverse academic institutions and jurisdictions. The works presented in this issue reflect critical thought, scholarly rigour, and a deep engagement with the ethical, social, and jurisprudential questions that define the current era of legal transition and recovery.
