Aims and Scopes

INSLA Proceedings is the official platform for publishing selected papers presented at the International Seminar on Syariah and Law (INSLA), organized by the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Since its inception in 2010, INSLA has established itself as a reputable biennial conference that gathers scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to deliberate on contemporary issues relating to Syariah, law, and society.

The INSLA Proceedings aim to integrate both naqli (revealed) and ‘aqli (rational) knowledge, highlighting their relevance in addressing global and local challenges in law, governance, and social development.

INSLA Proceedings seek to:

  • Provide a reputable publication avenue for high-quality papers presented during the International Seminar on Syariah and Law (INSLA).

  • Promote intellectual discourse that bridges theoretical and practical dimensions of law and governance in Muslim and non-Muslim societies.

  • Foster cross-disciplinary engagement among academicians, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts at local, regional, and international levels through the INSLA platform.

  • Disseminate innovative research that reflects the synergy between naqli and ‘aqli knowledge in the advancement of Syariah and law.
