Peer Review Process

The manuscript submission process for the International Conference of the Postgraduate Students and Academics in Syariah and Law (INPAC) E-Proceedings consists of several stages to ensure a thorough, impartial, and transparent peer review:

01 Manuscript Submission – Authors submit their manuscripts to the INPAC E-Proceedings system. The Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to the Managing Editor for initial handling.
02 Initial Manuscript Evaluation – The Managing Editor and the editorial team conduct a preliminary evaluation of the manuscript. Based on this assessment, the manuscript may be accepted for review, rejected, or returned to the author for revision. Each manuscript undergoes a plagiarism screening using Turnitin (or equivalent software).
03 Peer Review – At least two experts in the relevant field are appointed to conduct a double-blind peer review, where the identities of both reviewers and authors remain confidential. Reviewers may use a structured evaluation form provided by INPAC for consistency.
04 Decision Notification – Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief communicates the decision to the author: acceptance, minor/major revisions, or rejection. Reviewer identities remain strictly confidential.
05 Manuscript Revisions – Authors required to revise must respond to reviewers’ comments and submit a detailed response letter highlighting the changes made.
06 Resubmission of Revised Manuscript – The revised manuscript is resubmitted via the same online system for further consideration.
07 Final Acceptance – Once revisions meet the reviewers’ and editors’ standards, the manuscript is formally accepted for publication.
08 Final Stages of Publication – Accepted manuscripts proceed to galley proofing, which includes formatting, copyediting, and proofreading. The final version is then published in the INPAC E-Proceedings, either online or in print, depending on the publication format.
